365 WOMEN A YEAR AT BENNINGTON COLLEGE
NOplays first production was a collaborative project with 365 Women a Year.
365 Women a Year 2014 is an international playwriting coalition involving over 200 writers across the world who have signed on to write one or more one-acts about extraordinary women in history. The project’s ambitious yet focused goal is to write women back into the social consciousness as well as empower and promote female playwrights, and plant seeds of herstory around the country.
NOplays hosted a reading event the evening of March 27th, 2015 in the Bennington College Student Center. Our series featured four unique, original works by Bennington College students and alumni; After the Thin Man, by Shellen Lubin, Feelin Lonely, by Catherine Weingarten, En El Medio, by Maia Villa, and Making Frankenstein, by Natalie Osborne. We had over 50 members of the community attend this event in person, and many others from around the globe who watched the performance via livestream.
Special thank you to NiteCorp and HowlRound for making the livestream possible!
You can watch a video of the full performance here, and on the HowlRound public archive.
